TAMBACOR (or FLECANIDE) is a type of medicine known as a class 1c antiarrhythmic. It is used to regulate the rate and rhythm of the heart.

Flecainide helps to treat arrhythmias by decreasing the sensitivity of the heart muscle cells to fast electrical impulses. This regulates the electrical conduction in the heart muscle, which helps to restore disturbances in the heart rhythm.

There are several different types of arrhythmia. This medicine is used to treat some, but not all of them.
