Call if you experience:
Significant redness, heat, swelling, drainage or severe pain at your puncture site. If any bleeding occurs, hold direct pressure at the site until the bleeding stops and then call our office.

• Fever of 100 degrees or higher.
• Chest pain or shortness of breath.
• Lightheadedness, dizziness or palpitations.

DO:

• Shower as usual, even on the day of discharge. Don’t scrub the puncture site, wash gently with soap and pat dry.
• Continue to take medications unless told otherwise at discharge.
• Avoid vigorous exertion/exercise for 4 days

DON’T:

• Take a tub bath, jacuzzi or swim for 2 days.
• Don’t lift over 5-10 lbs. for 3 days.
• NO DRIVING FOR 24 HOURS AFTER THIS PROCEDURE.
