Dr. Renzo Cataldo has been practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiology in Arizona since 2001. Prior to his arrival in Phoenix, Dr. Cataldo practiced in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Cataldo earned his medical degree at the Universita' degli Studi di Trieste in Trieste, Italy. After graduation, Dr. Cataldo completed an internal medicine internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center of Richmond in Staten Island, New York and an internal medicine residency at the Long

Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. He then moved west to Salt Lake City, where he completed cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Utah. 


Dr. Cataldo began his career in academia and later went into private practice. Following his training, he was an assistant professor of medicine at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then served as director of electrophysiology at University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque. He is an active researcher, has authored numerous abstracts and manuscripts, and lectures throughout the United States.

Dr. Cataldo is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology. He assists physicians in the diagnosis and management of complicated rhythm problems that are not responding to conventional treatment.
