Dr. Thomas Mattioni has been practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiology in Arizona since 1991. He also serves as director of the cardiac electrophysioloy laboratory at the Arizona Heart Hospital. Prior to arriving in Phoenix, Dr. Mattioni was director of the clinical cardiac electrophysiology laboratory and arrhythmia services and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  |

Dr. Mattioni received his bachelor's degree from University of Illinois and his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Mattioni is regarded as a leading authority in the research and practice of electrophysiology and has been the principal investigator in many research protocols investigating promising new devices and medications for arrythmias.
Dr. Mattioni is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology. He assists physicians in the diagnosis and management of complicated rhythm problems that are not responding to conventional treatment.
